Nigel Murphy will speak in the Lower Hutt Central Library on Wednesday evening 22 October from 7pm – 8.15 pm as part of the 2025 Wellington Heritage Festival, talking about Chinese people in the Hutt Valley and Petone from the 1880s to the present day.

Nigel has had a long association working with the National Library and Victoria University and with the New Zealand Chinese Association on the history of Chinese settlers in our country, Aotearoa New Zealand.
