Wainui Enduro (round 2 of the NZ Enduro Series)

The Wellington Mountain Bike Club will be hosting round 2 of the NZ Enduro Series at the Wainui Trail Project. The race is also part of the 2026 Wellington Enduro Series. Saturday will be a practice day, with racing on Sunday the 22nd. Enduro is a form of multi-stage downhill racing - competitors ride all of the course, but are only timed on the downhill stages. Being a round of the New Zealand Enduro Series will see riding coming from all over Aotearoa to experience some of the best technical MTB trails in Wellington.

The race is open to all ages, and there will be good opportunities for spectating. The event will be based from the Waiu Street park at the base of the MTB trails.

The Wellington MTB Club returns profits from all of our events back into community groups that are building and maintaining trails, donating between $2,000 and $7,000 per event (larger events means that more money goes back to the community).
