Pipes in the Park 2026

Wellingtons very own Highland Gathering! Get ready for an awesome day full of entertainment!

Our event this year is being held at Avalon Park in Lower Hutt, we are super excited to bring our event to the greater Wellington Region with a special thanks to the Hutt City Council. We will have Food, Fun for the children, Clan and Craft Markets and loads of performances.

Morning solo piping competitions, featuring some of New Zealand's top solo pipers and the Brown Cup contest for open all grades.

Mid-day brings dance performances from Thistlebre Highland Dance Academy, Gregan Irish Dancers and local Ceilidh bands.

Afternoon we have our graded Pipe Band Competition! And to finish up we have the sounds of our wonderful Ceilidh band!

Bring a picnic rug, sun block and a keep cup, it's going to be another great day!
