Event Description

We're pulling our hoods up and putting the volume down this Wednesday here at Petone Library!

Join us for a low sensory hour from 10-11am where we dim the lights and turn down our noise to show up for the autistic and wider autism community. Following this, from 11am - 12pm we will be joined by folks from the Autism NZ team for another hour of discussion and activity to get some discourse going around supporting those with autism.

We encourage you all to wear a hoodie. Hoodies are a way to subtly block overwhelming sensations, and are also a symbol of a community ready to accept and embrace the accomodations needed to create a more accessible community
