Event Description
Join Te Mangungu Marae and the Naenae community for a special Matariki celebration.
Take part in poi making, putiputi weaving using harakeke, waiata and an opening pōwhiri as we come together to celebrate Matariki. Enjoy free kai and refreshments throughout the day, with a sit-down hāngī and fresh fry bread from 4pm.
This is an opportunity to connect with the community, meet local kaumātua, wardens, rangatahi and members of the Te Mangungu Committee, and experience the warmth and hospitality of the marae.
Bring your whānau and friends and celebrate Matariki with us. Everyone is welcome.
