Event Description
The Lower Hutt Art Trail returns for 2026, featuring over 50 artists from across the region. Alongside many returning favourites, this year welcomes a number of exciting new artists. With more than 30 stops, this free, self-guided trail showcases a diverse range of creative disciplines – including painting, pottery, printmaking, collage, textiles, weaving, woodwork, glass, jewellery, metalwork, and mixed media – across studios, pop-ups, and galleries throughout the city. Special exhibitions will also run at Hutt Art, The Dowse, The Petone Depot, the Historic Police Station & Jail, and The Learning Connexion. Plan your route at www.lowerhuttarttrail.co.nz, or pick up a free printed guide from late August at libraries, cafés, galleries, and shops across Lower Hutt, with selected locations in Wellington. New for 2026: Collect stickers from seven stops on the back of your guide to go in the draw to win some great prizes. See the guide for details.
