The personal information Hutt City Council is collecting includes your: name, email and/or phone number.
We are collecting this information to contact you if you win a prize. If you choose not to enter contact details, we’ll be unable to contact you if you win a prize.
Your information will be used only for the reasons we mentioned, and only authorised Wainuiomata Neighbourhood Hub staff have access to your information.
The Hutt City Council stores personal information with reasonable safeguards against loss and disclosure. Reasonable safeguards include physical and technological protections against unauthorised access.
The Hutt City Council will not keep information for longer than is necessary or as required by legislation. When no longer needed, information is destroyed securely.
You have the right to access and correct your personal information.

Terms and Conditions – Bird in my Backyard Photo Competition
Eligibility: The competition is open to residents of Lower Hutt. Participants under 16 must have formal written permission from a parent or guardian.
How to Enter:
Take a photo of a native bird in your backyard.
Bring your photo into Wainuiomata Neighbourhood Hub, where staff will print and display it for you. Or email to [email protected]
Only one entry per person is allowed.
Competition Period:
Entries close 4 September at 5.00 pm. No entries will be accepted after this date.
Winner:
The winner will be notified using the contact details provided at entry.
Display of Photos:
For privacy reasons, entries will be displayed using an allocated number only (not your name).
Your name and contact details will not be shown publicly.
General:
By entering, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Hutt City Council reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition at any time.
The winning photo will be decided by members of the public who will vote for their favourite photo.
