🌏 Welcoming Week 2026: Together we belong
📅 4–13 September
Welcoming Week is a celebration of connection, culture and community. It brings together newcomers and long-standing residents to meet, share stories, celebrate our diversity and strengthen the relationships that make Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt a place where everyone feels valued.
This year’s theme, “Together we belong,” reminds us that belonging is something we build together through everyday acts of manaakitanga, meaningful connections and the ways we show up for one another.
Join us for activities and events across our city where people of all cultures, backgrounds and experiences can connect, participate and confidently bring their whole selves.
