Cyberattacks! Being safe in a digital world
Wednesday 25 November 2026 at 10:00 AM
Eastbourne Neighbourhood Hub
Event Description
"Kiwis are being hit by a flood of scams and cyberattacks, from ManageMyHealth to many others. With increasing use of AI, it's becoming harder and harder to keep up with what to do and how to keep yourself and your families safe online. In this session we will cover what AI and cybersecurity is, and what the basics are that anyone can do to help protect themselves. We will cover what AI means for our privacy, and what to do if some of your personal data is breached. Bring along any questions you have about cybersecurity and AI and we will do our best to try and answer them."
Join us on Wednesday morning 25th November at Eastbourne Neighbourhood Hub at 10am
Elf Eldridge of CyberCure+ is here to explain what it is, how it can be utilised and some tips on staying safe while online.
About Elf
While I've been a pentester for most of the last 6 years, I've recently moved into cloud security (with a focus on Azure), alongside performing sales and scoping activities, and creating and running training and tabletop exercises to help organisations practice their response to a cybersecurity incident. I have also run a variety of cybersecurity courses with ITP on IR, and the NZISM.
