Event Description

Chinmaya Mission Wellington warmly invites the Hutt City community to an inspiring and interactive programme exploring the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, led by Br. Ishaan Chaitanya, a resident Vedanta teacher of Chinmaya Mission, known for his engaging presentations and ability to make ancient wisdom relevant to modern life.

The programme will begin with children, young people and adults chanting selected verses from the Bhagavad Gita, followed by an engaging panel discussion led by Br. Ishaan Chaitanya. Through thoughtful discussion and practical insights, participants will discover how the Gita’s teachings can be applied to everyday life.

The Bhagavad Gita offers universal values and practical guidance on inner strength, peace, self-discipline, positive thinking, overcoming challenges and living a meaningful life. Its wisdom transcends religious and cultural boundaries and is relevant to people from all walks of life.

Who is welcome: Everyone is welcome! We particularly encourage families, teenagers, young adults and seniors (approximately 13 years and above), as well as anyone interested in Indian culture, philosophy, spirituality, personal growth and timeless life values. No prior knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita or Hindu philosophy is needed. People of all faiths, cultures and backgrounds, including those with no religious affiliation, are warmly invited.

What to bring: Attendees are welcome to bring family and friends.

Registration: This event is part of Chinmaya Mission Wellington’s three-day programme (20–22 November 2026). Please note that the Bhagavad Gita programme advertised here is on Sunday, 22 November 2026, in Lower Hutt.

What is provided: The programme, presentation and learning experience will be provided by Chinmaya Mission. Traditional vegetarian prasad (a blessed food offering) will also be provided to registered attendees.
