Christmas in the Nui is Wainuiomata’s annual festive celebration. A vibrant, family-friendly event that brings our community together to share the joy, spirit, and magic of Christmas. Held at the Queen Street Reserve, this event is all about whanaungatanga, connection, community, and Christmas cheer. It’s a day for everyone to come together, give back, and enjoy the festive season surrounded by friends, whānau, and good vibes. What makes it special: Free kai for everyone to enjoy Fun activities for tamariki throughout the day Live performances from local artists and cultural groups Market and service stalls showcasing local creators and organisations Santa’s visit and festive surprises Christmas in the Nui removes barriers so that everyone in our community can participate at no cost, no stress, just celebration and connection in the heart of Wainuiomata.
