Step into the flavours of Vietnamese Lunar New Year with a special hands-on workshop that brings tradition, community, and storytelling together. Join us as part of the Lunar New Year Festival 2026 for a delicious cultural experience!
✨ What We’ll Make Together:
Thịt Kho (Caramelized Braised Pork) - tender pork simmered in coconut water, a dish that brings comfort, warmth and the taste of Tết.
Dưa cải và giá (Pickled mustard green & mung bean sprouts) - crunchy, colourful pickles that balance the richness of New Year dishes This workshop is designed for all ages - beginners, families, food lovers, and anyone curious about Vietnamese culture. Learn the meaning behind each dish and how they come together on every Vietnamese New Year table.
Why Join? • Experience authentic Vietnamese Tết traditions • Learn recipes passed down through generations • Connect with community through shared stories and food • Take home what you cook • Celebrate culture in a warm, hands-on environment Sponsored & partnered with Pomare Taita Community Trust, E Tū Whānau & Hutt City Council.
