The dunce cap once marked someone out for not fitting the system—too loud, too slow, too different, too much, not enough.
Taking our lead from Wayne Youle—one of our favourite artists to emerge from the naughty corner—we're reclaiming the dunce cap and celebrating bad behaviour together.
Using scraps, tape, words, leftovers, shiny things, broken things, wrong things, and art things, whānau are invited to build their own dunce cap sculptures and take the idea wherever they want. No rules! And even if there were, we’d probably encourage you to break them anyway.
All ages welcome.
