The Seagull of Manu Island Show
Tuesday 19 January 2027 at 10:30 AM
Moerā Neighbourhood Hub
Event Description
Birdlife Productions are back with their heartwarming inspirational storytelling using intricate handmade puppetry and innovative live music and songs. In this high-tech fast-paced digital world, Birdlife offers a counter to screen-time that allows space in real-time for children to watch, listen and reflect.
Ren’s Grandad is a scientist, and a trip with him to Manu Island to count the declining Akiaki (red-billed gull) is bound to be really boring . . . until a miraculous encounter with one rather special Akiaki changes everything.
This version of our story is made especially for ages 3 to 10 years. Expect live songs and music, rhythmical joining in, exquisite puppetry, a big weather event and some humorous and awesome natural encounters!
